Elizabeth Cohen
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, MS, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C
Ms. Elizabeth Cohen is a Dually Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in both Psychiatry & Family Medicine. She is certified by The American Association of Nurse Practitioner’s (AANP) as well as The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the largest certification body for advanced practice. She is licensed to practice in the state of New York.
Her treatment philosophy is centered around a holistic mindset. She strongly believes in treating her patients as a "whole person” therefore authenticating a comprehensive treatment approach.
Ms. Cohen graduated from Molloy College with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and practiced as a dedicated emergency room nurse for 14 years. She returned to Molloy College to obtain her graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. After practicing in Addiction Medicine, she recognized the desperate need for integrative health.
She went on to obtain a Post Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University and now holds a dual certification in both Family medicine and Psychiatry.
Elizabeth is a former provider at St Charles Hospital. She practiced on the acute medical withdrawal team. In 2017, Ms. Cohen established Aspirations of Hope to serve the local community.
